Khadíjih Mitchell

Founder & Wellness Consultant

Khadíjih Mitchell is a wellness consultant and advocate for compassionate, nonviolent approaches to both human and animal care. Since 2021, she has been active in the wellness space through her work with SoulJourney Wellness (formerly Journey into the Soul LLC). In 2025, she founded Pause Animal Wellness Sanctuary (PAWS), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit in Colorado committed to rescuing animals who would otherwise face uncertain futures and transforming the way humans and animals heal together.

Rooted in a deep passion for both human and animal welfare, Khadíjih integrates science, spirituality, and animal psychology to cultivate spaces where connection, trust, and healing can naturally unfold. She believes that healing begins within, and that as individuals reconnect with themselves, they begin to transform not only their own lives, but the way they show up for the world around them, including the animals in their care.

Khadíjih holds an Associate degree in Psychology; a Bachelor of Science in Physics with a Minor in Mathematics; a Master of Education; and a Master of Arts in Curriculum Design with a specialization in Physics Course Design and Instruction. She is also a certified 200-hour Yoga Teacher, Meditation Teacher, and Reiki Master Practitioner. Though formally trained in many disciplines, she considers herself a student of Life, with Life always being her greatest teacher.

Through all of her work, Khadíjih remains devoted to creating spaces where both humans and animals are safe, respected, and supported in their healing, while grounded in the understanding that transformation is not always something we do alone, but something that can be amplified when we experience it together.
